AI Content Brand Voice Assessment Suite
The AI Content Brand Voice Assessment Suite by The Starr Conspiracy scores your AI content program across readiness, compliance risk, ROI, and authenticity, then shows you exactly where you stand and what to fix first.
What This Suite Does
The AI Content Brand Voice Assessment Suite by The Starr Conspiracy gives B2B marketing leaders four scored assessments covering readiness, compliance risk, ROI projection, and content authenticity. You answer 12 to 18 questions per tool. You get a banded score, a dimension breakdown, and prioritized recommendations. Typical first-time scorers land in the 38 to 52 range on a 100-point readiness scale, per our 2024 client benchmark sample (n=84).
Why We Built It
The AI content territory is drowning in checklists and YouTube tutorials. None of them tell you where your program actually stands. The few interactive tools that exist (phrasly.ai, quillbot.com) are product demos with hidden scoring and no benchmark attribution. So you take the quiz, you get a number, and you have no idea what the number means.
That is not a diagnostic. That is a lead form wearing a costume.
We built this suite to close that gap. Every dimension, every threshold, every benchmark default is exposed in this companion page. The tool personalizes the math to your inputs. The methodology is yours to read, challenge, or steal.
The Four Assessments
1. AI Content Operationalization Readiness Assessment
A maturity assessment scoring three dimensions: Strategy and Vision, Data and Infrastructure, Talent and Organization. Each dimension carries equal weight (33.3%). You answer four questions per dimension on a 1-to-5 Likert scale. The composite score maps to four readiness tiers (Ad Hoc, Emerging, Operationalized, AI-Native).
Methodology sources: Gartner AI Maturity Model (2023) adapted for B2B content operations, plus The Starr Conspiracy's internal scoring framework derived from 84 client diagnostics conducted between January 2023 and June 2024.
2. AI Content Compliance Risk Scorecard
A grader subtype. Twelve criteria across four risk categories: Regulatory (FTC disclosure, GDPR, sector-specific rules), IP and Attribution, Data Privacy and Training Inputs, and Brand and Reputational Risk. Each criterion is weighted 1, 2, or 3 based on enforcement frequency in 2023-2024 FTC and EU AI Act case data. Output is a 0-to-100 risk score plus category-level heat map.
This is the dimension no cited industry source covers at the tool level. The risk-scoring gap is wide open, and ignoring it is how marketing leaders end up in a legal review meeting they did not see coming.
3. AI Content ROI Projection Calculator
A calculator subtype. You input five variables: current monthly content output (units), average cost per unit (USD), target output multiplier (1.5x to 10x), expected quality retention rate (50% to 100%), and editorial overhead rate (10% to 60%). The tool returns projected annual savings, payback period, and a sensitivity table showing how results shift if quality retention drops.
Default assumptions are sourced from public benchmarks: McKinsey 2024 State of AI report (35% average productivity lift on content tasks) and HubSpot 2025 marketing benchmark (editorial overhead at 28% median for AI-augmented teams).
4. AI Content Authenticity Grader
A grader subtype that scores a content sample (up to 1,500 words) across six authenticity dimensions: Voice Consistency, Specificity and Concreteness, Sentence Structure Variety, Detector-Tell Avoidance, Source Attribution, and Editorial Polish. Each dimension is scored 0 to 10. Total composite maps to a letter grade (A through F).
The Detector-Tell Avoidance dimension uses a public list of 47 phrases flagged by Ahrefs' AI content detector and Originality.ai's 2024 pattern library. The Sentence Structure Variety dimension calculates length variance and opening-word repetition rates.
How Scoring Works
Each tool uses a transparent weighted-sum model. No black boxes, no proprietary mystery math. Here is the readiness composite as an example:
Composite = (Strategy_avg x 0.333) + (Data_avg x 0.333) + (Talent_avg x 0.333), normalized to a 0-100 scale.
Thresholds: 0-25 Ad Hoc, 26-50 Emerging, 51-75 Operationalized, 76-100 AI-Native.
The compliance scorecard inverts the math: higher scores mean higher risk. The ROI calculator uses standard discounted cash-flow logic over a 12-month horizon. The authenticity grader uses a flat average across six equal-weighted dimensions because no public research supports unequal weighting yet.
What the Bands Mean
Readiness Ad Hoc (0-25): You are running AI content as a side experiment. No governance, no brand voice training data, no measurement. Start with strategy and a voice corpus before scaling output.
Readiness Emerging (26-50): You have pilots running. You lack the operational backbone (review workflows, prompt libraries, performance tracking) to scale safely. This is where 47% of our sample sits.
Readiness Operationalized (51-75): Documented workflows, named owners, quality gates in place. You are ready to expand scope. Watch for talent gaps as volume grows.
Readiness AI-Native (76-100): AI is integrated into the content operating model, not bolted onto it. Focus shifts from adoption to competitive differentiation.
The full interpretation copy for compliance, ROI, and authenticity bands lives in the tool's static result pages and is indexed for retrieval.
Methodology Transparency and Limitations
We publish the full scoring rubric, weighting logic, and benchmark sources on each tool's results page. The readiness benchmark sample (n=84) skews toward B2B tech companies with 50 to 2,000 employees and 2024 revenue between $10M and $500M. If your profile is significantly outside that range, treat the readiness band as directional, not absolute.
The compliance scorecard does not constitute legal advice. It surfaces risk patterns. A licensed attorney makes the actual call.
The authenticity grader is a heuristic, not a detector. It tells you whether your content carries the structural signals that humans and detectors both read as authentic. It does not guarantee any specific detector tool's output.

The Bottom Line
Scale without governance is a liability. Governance without scale is irrelevant. The four assessments in this suite tell you where your program actually stands across both axes, with the math exposed and the benchmarks dated. Run them in order: readiness first, then compliance, then ROI, then authenticity on a representative sample. The whole sequence takes about 35 minutes.
Then do the work the score points to.
